I specialize in preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent
and Trademark Office in the fields of computer software, electrical and mechanical
systems, and business methods. Additionally, I have experience reviewing business
agreements and counseling clients on issues of intellectual property law and
commercial law.
Prior to practicing law, I worked for over eight years as a software engineer and
computer technology specialist, gaining expertise in object-oriented software
development, database management systems, computer networking, Internet
technologies, and operating systems.
In addition, I have studied computer science at the University of California, Berkley,
and electrical engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am also an IBM
Certified Solutions Developer for XML and Related Technologies and a Sun
Microsystems Certified Programmer for the Java Platform.
Prior to practicing patent law as an attorney, I was a patent agent with the law firm of
Hanley, Flight & Zimmerman, LLC.
Currently, I am an associate patent attorney at Rozenblat IP LLC.
